Dr. Fadavi graduated with high honors from Dental School in 1977. Following a short period in general dentistry, she joined the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois, where she received her specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Science degree in 1981.
Since 1981, Dr. Fadavi has been involved in teaching, research and Private Practice in Pediatric Dentistry. Currently, she is Professor of Pediatric Dentistry and Director of Post-Doctoral Residency Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
She is board-certified and Diplomate of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and Illinois Dental Society. She is past President of the Illinois Society for Pediatric Dentists.
Dr. Fadavi's current research focus is neonatology, the oral health of premature infants, and early childhood caries in children. She has lectured extensively on the different aspects of children's oral health nationally and internationally. Her research has been published in many dental journals.
Dr. Fadavi and her husband spend most of their time with their two children. She enjoys traveling, exercise, walking and swimming.
