Dr. Mendelson graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1968 and entered private practice in 1969. While attending school, he maintained a research assistantship at Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital.
In 1976, he was awarded the status of Active Member in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Alpha Omega dental fraternity. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Mendelson and his wife, Tammy, have two children, Missy and Scott. Dr. and Mrs. Mendelson are the proud grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters, Ryan and Quinn.
